Beauty Beginners Guide - How To Apply False Lashes

Hey girls,
Another request for my beauty beginners guide series is how to apply false lashes.
Generally applying lashes is a skill that grows with time and doing it over and over again (practice makes perfect); the most important tip for applying false lashes is to take your time and not to rush.
Here is my step by step guide on how to securely and accurately apply them.

Before you begin applying your lashes, remove the lashes from the casing place them onto your lid against your upper lash line to make sure they fit the length of your natural eye. This will prevent the corner drooping, and being uncomfortable whilst wearing it will also aid in the adhesive securely adhering to your lash line. To do this simply take off the excess strip with a pair of small nail scissors.

Take both edges of the false lash and bend them inwards slightly to a C shape toward each other to take out the straightness of the lash this again will aid in being able to mold the lash to the curve of your eye and will prevent the inner corners from lifting once we've adhered the lash with the adhesive.

Apply a high quality lash glue I recommend DuoLash which you can purchase here. I would suggest avoiding applying the glue directly from the tube, and to put the glue on a cocktail stick or tooth pick and then use that to accurately and evenly apply the glue to the strip. Make sure you apply a generous amount to the inner, outer and middle of the lash to ensure security.
Wait 10 seconds before applying the eyelash to your eye to allow the glue to become slightly tacky ( not completely dry!) to help the lash have something to hold onto whilst you maneuver the lash so its not slipping around.

Time to apply.
Firstly I would suggest using a pair of tweezers or a lash applicator which you can again purchase here.
You want to apply the lash by securing the MIDDLE first this will be your anchor to apply the inner and outer corners.
Using the tweezer or lash applicator begin to work your way adhering the lash around the eye to the corners holding for a few seconds to allow the glue to fix.
You want to make sure the lash is applied as close to the lash line as possible NOT on the eyelid at all.
Once dried tap gently on the ends of the lashes so the lash gently knocks into place.

Apply mascara to blend your false and natural lashes. You can also apple a think layer of liquid or gel liner to your top lash line to disguise the lash band.
